Samyo 2010
Indian music woke up to a new dawn in 2010 when Samyo embarked upon a very ambitious journey with the 'Tributes' theme and pulled it off with a very successful concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank Centre on the 7th of March.
Moving on to the rest of the year, Samyo comes together during the easter weekend for a masterclasses with world renowned veena player Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh and Mridangam virtuoso Patri Satish Kumar.
Apart from being a retreat, these couple of days will host the Open Auditions Samyo 2010 - a new audition system where every Samyo member and new applicants will be auditioned informally throughout the weekend through all the workshops and masterclasses. The successful applicants will be chosen for membership by the end of that weekend period for 2010's Samyo membership.
And finally as a teaser into the 'Music India' - Summer Retreat, the Gurus of the year are the likes of:
