The Samyo Organisation

The way in which the orchestra is managed is designed to be open, independent, objective and fair, with the sole aim of promoting the performances and development of young musicians of the South Asian tradition. The Samyo staff and management are always working towards making the orchestra open to as many talented young musicians as possible, from any background or community. The only condition is that they play South Asian music!

Samyo is run by a Milapfest Management Committee including a National Manager, Director of Music, Associate Director of Music, and Programme Manager.

Furthermore, the orchestra has a National Advisory Board of musicians, teachers and arts professionals, from a wide variety of backgrounds, helping to create a general overview of the progress and expansion of Samyo.
